Senior Software Development Engineer Expedia Inc.
1 1 year S Seattle, WALeading the development of a new tech stack to support Expedia's mobile hotel shopping path. The stack is leveraging a microservice architecture with a Progressive Web App (PWA) built using React. I'm the lead tech IC on my teams which makes me responsible for architecting our solutions throughout the entire stack, communicating this design, teaching more junior developers, and writing lots of code. I am one of the main points of contact for this new stack, so I help across multiple teams with architecture, design, deployments, monitoring, etc. I also influence the direction of technology in the department and strategy planning with leadership.

Software Development Engineer II Expedia Inc.
3 2 years S Seattle, WAWith the promotion to a Software Development Engineer II, I am looked to as a leader on my team. I help to teach new comers, handle the day to day issues, interface with outside teams, and drive the team to project completion.
I add these responsibilities to the others already outlined below. [Copied here for convience] As a full stack developer I am the team's "swiss-army knife". I help define the design for all of the layers of our application. I tend to be the go-to with questions regarding our app since I have the details about most of the code. I work on both our front end, using technologies such as Grunt, Backbone, Marionette, and LESS. In our Java layer I focus on leveraging Spring's tools to write efficient and well designed classes. I also contribute heavily to our domain layer which is driven by the DDD design pattern. I hook up our lower level services via our connectors. Overall, I have a very in depth understanding of how all the pieces fit together. With this knowledge I help to interface between our Ui designer, project manager, and product owner to produce quickly while maintaining quality.
